Unfortunately, fraudulent WhatsApp messages and phone calls are currently circulating claiming to offer jobs on behalf of universaljob. We can confirm that your data is safe with us and that we have not been the victim of a cyber attack. The fraudulent messages and calls are randomly sent to numbers in Switzerland.

The scammers are using foreign sender numbers and pretending to be our employees. If in doubt, you can find all our employees on our website under Our offices.

Please note that we are a reputable recruitment service provider, and we will never contact you unsolicitedly via WhatsApp or using a foreign sender.

We are currently working with WhatsApp and the police to investigate further action. If you receive any unexpected WhatsApp messages or phone calls, we strongly advise you to exercise the utmost caution:

  • Block and report the sender's number immediately.
  • Do not click on any attachments or links in suspicious WhatsApp messages.
  • Never disclose personal data or credit card information in response to such messages or calls.

The NZZ and Blick also reported on these incidents.

If you have any further questions, please contact contact@universaljob.ch.
