Our vision

We are shaping a world of work where everyone can find their ideal place - a place that not only matches their skills, but where they can continuously develop and feel valued. Our vision is to make the entire labour market in Switzerland and Liechtenstein a sustainable space of opportunity and growth for all.

We are creating a future in which work is fulfilling, companies reach their potential and diversity is used as a strength. Technology and people harmonise, language barriers are overcome and a healthy work-life balance is achieved. We build bridges between tradition and innovation to promote a safe, respectful and inclusive working environment for all.

Our values for sustainable business

Universaljob was founded in 1981 by Fritz Rechsteiner and successfully handed over to his sons Oliver and Denis Rechsteiner in 2021. For more than 40 years, universaljob has been one of the leading recruitment and placement agencies in Switzerland. As a family-run company in its second generation, we take responsibility, look out for each other and stick together even in turbulent times.

Our social commitment

At universaljob it is important to us to support social and cultural projects. Supporting children in need is a central part of our CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives.

Universaljob finances the orphanage and supports it with substantial contributions every year. Every month, universaljob employees donate CHF 20 "coffee money" to the association "Bright future for children", which was co-founded by Irene Rechsteiner in 2012. The organisation supports the "Elim Home" orphanage built by Universal-Job AG in Markapur, India, as well as other projects for children.

The orphanage provides a safe home for around 30 orphans and half-orphans. Donations cover the children's daily needs, healthcare and education. Gifted students are supported to complete their studies.

All eight members of the organisation work on a voluntary basis and cover their own expenses so that our employees' "coffee money" goes directly to the children.
